Andrea Martucci (1994, Detroit, MI) is an interdisciplinary artist and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work combines photographic and sculptural practices to explore the redefinition of the self in response to trauma. Her work references personal and familial narratives, using materiality as a metaphor for the latent nature of memory. She addresses gender-based inequality and violence as a tactile, embodied experience. Martucci Holds a BFA from the College for Creative Studies and an MFA from the International Center of Photography at Bard. Martucci works as a fabricator and art installer in New York City.
